My views on the two summary's

The first summary Christo's Valley Curtain was very simple and easy. The short documentary had a very easy story line to follow, it went scene to scene fluently. I had no problems with watching the film either, besides some parts were hard to understand because Christo mumbles a little bit. Then the second summary we did about the documentary was much harder. At first i choose the documentary called Dark Days. I watched it for about 40 minutes but could not stand the black and white picture so i shut it off. Then i choose the documentary called Grizzly man. Even Grizzly Man i did not really like the documentary all that much, because i thought Timothy Treadwell was a moron and did not treat his girlfriend right. He should have cared more about her than the grizzly bears. Anyways with the summary of the documentary i found it much harder than the first. Mainly because the scenes switch from past to present like every other minute. Which for me made the documentary very hard to write about. Overall i worked very hard on both summary's and i think i did a good job, which is what matters to me.

What is a good question about writing?

My question would have to be why do people write? Is it to get a better understanding of something they might have just learned or experienced? Writing down your feelings and letting them out? Writing a story? Or even just writing down something that is important to them? Is it to connect emotionally with the people they are sharing it with? Where did it all begin for people just to start writing?

This Is Water

In the video This Is Water by David Foster Wallace is very interesting to me. Most people who graduate college get a nine to five job and deal with boredom, routine, and petty frustration. almost every single day people do the same thing, and most people look towards things negatively, David Foster Wallace calls the negativity our natural default setting. So he says instead of having petty frustration and being cranky people should look at things differently, we all have awareness and a choice by the way we act. We don't know everything all the time so judging people in a grocery line just because your frustrated is not right, their situation may be much worse than ours.
